Part 8: Discoveries And Leads

I burst through the door into the entryway of Roblox Prison with just a minute to spare before my shift began! Last night had been an extremely long, and smelly night. After I had managed to get my garbage bags home I had taken a shower to try and clean some of the disgusting grime off of my body. This took quite some time, and once it was finished it had grown so late that I no longer had the energy to pursue my work any longer. I had crashed onto my tiny bed and fallen into a deep sleep.

And, as luck would have it, I slept through both of my alarms.

It was nothing short of a miracle that I woke up at all. When I looked at my clock I saw that I had no time to spare. I threw on a police uniform, stuffed one of the garbage bags into my backpack, and dashed out the door. I arrived at work just in time, but still too late to avoid the judgmental looks from my co-workers. My banana costume fiasco had not portrayed me in the best light it seemed.

After I clocked in I shoved the trash bag into my locker and went about doing my daily tasks. I hurried to get through them quickly so I could look through bag finally! Who knew just what sort of vital information was inside! It might contain the answers we were seeking to expose the people involved in the prison escape! One by one I checked my tasks off my list. I worked quickly and expeditiously, checking on prisoners and doing some paperwork. But as I worked I kept getting that uncomfortable feeling that I was being watched. I looked over my shoulder numerous times but never saw anything out of the ordinary. Still, the feeling wouldn't go away!

I need to be careful, I thought. It's very likely that the people I encountered last night are people that I work with here in the prison!

It was an unpleasant thought, but it was a reality I needed to accept. I finished my work at around noon and hurried to my locker to retrieve the bag. With the bag in hand, I sat down in the corner of our break room and untied the top.

I peeked inside.

The bag had a lot of things that you would expect to find in the garbage, such as plastic cups, candy wrappers, and old newspapers. But as I dug deeper I began to notice some things that stood out to me. A lot of papers featured the stationary of the Roblox Police Department! On some of these papers were written times and quantities of items too. It wasn't incriminating, but it was definitely curious why someone would go to the trouble of disposing this stuff outside the prison.

Then something else caught my eye. I couldn't quite tell what it was but I reached deep into the bag to retrieve it. And that was when Sheriff Paul burst into the room.
